The X Edition of the Marcin Gortat Camp begins
The MG13 “Aim High” foundation of Marcin Gortat, who is the ambassador of our brand, begins the tenth anniversary edition of the Marcin Gortat Camp. The first meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, with the participation of children of soldiers from the 33 Transport Aviation Base in Powidz.
The series of events that is the Marcin Gortat Camp, which has taken place continuously since 2008, is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated basketball and NBA events in Poland. Its main goal is to promote sport among children and youth through the training with young basketball lovers.
During this year's edition, in addition to Powidz, the Gortat Team will also visit Rumia, Dąbrowa Górnicza, as well as the hometown of the basketball player – Łódź. A two-day training will be organized in each town: on the first day, there will be a Camp for children with physical disabilities, who will have the opportunity to practice with Marcin Gortat and the guests from the NBA. The second day of the MG Camp will be intended for children aged 9-13 and JR NBA Clinic for children aged 14 to 17.
The culmination of the jubilee edition of the Camp will be the match "Gortat Team vs Polish Army" held on July 30 of this year in Atlas Arena, which will be attended by, amongst others, the Polish volleyball legends Mariusz Wlazły and Piotr Gruszka, as well as Jerzy Dudek – the former member of the Polish football team and the 2005 Champions League winner. Friends of Marcin Gortat from Washington Wizzards will also be there! Traditionally, during the break of the match, there will be a competition of the best players from all this year's Camps, with the main prize being a trip to the US to a NBA league game.
