Röben Polska is part of a family concern producing ceramic building materials for over 160 years. Frisian brickyards, created in the middle of the 19th century, were the beginning of today’s network of factories in Europe and America. In 1995, the plant in Środa Śląska became part of a company with such a rich tradition. It is here that the largest and the most modern Röben roofing plant in Europe was created.

History of Röben company
Nowadays
Today, Röben company has more than a dozen production plants in Europe and the United States, of which three are located in Poland. Over 160 years of experience and high quality of products makes Röben one of the leading manufacturers of building ceramics.
The offer includes over 1500 products, including ceramic tiles, bricks and clinker tiles, floor ceramics, clinker cobble bricks, stair systems and other finished elements. Numerous awards and distinctions are an expression of great recognition among customers and the company’s activity in other areas.
2005
The most modern roofing plant in Europe
Opening of the second roofing plant in Poland. Thanks to the equipment with a computer-controlled quality system and advanced automation, it is the most modern tile production plant in Europe.
1994/95
The beginning of operations in Poland
The first investment of the Röben company in Poland, due to the rich clay deposits, is located in Środa Śląska near Wrocław. The construction of the clinker and the first roofing plant begins.
1989
In the 5th generation, Wilhelm Renke Röben enters the company management
In 1989, as the representative of the fifth generation of the Röben family, Wilhelm Renke Röben entered the company’s management board. Two years later, he took charge of the new clinker plant at Merry Oaks (USA)
1920
The first foreign investment
Twenty years later, the son of Friedrich, Wilhelm August Röben, took the lead of the company. Due to the successes on the German market, the young investor decided to develop operations outside the country. The acquisition of the “Triangle Brick” clinker factory located in North Carolina in the US was Wilhelm’s first foreign investment.

Zetel - Schweinnebrück I the beginning of the Röben brand
In 1900, Bernhard Friedrich Röben leased from Augustau Lauw, his father-in-law, a brick factory in Zetel - Schweinebrück, which was the beginning of the Röben company.
1855
The first brickyard of the “king of bricks”
The origins of Röben company date back to the 19th century. In 1855, August Lauw founded the first of eight brickyards in Frisian Bockhorn; their popularity quickly gave him the opinion of the “King of Bricks.”
