Enrollments for the 5th edition of the School Skills Challenge “Aim High” have started!
The Marcin Gortat Foundation MG13 has already started receiving applications for the fifth edition of the School Skills Challenge “Aim High”. Our company supports the Foundation in this action and organizes the third edition of the accompanying competition "Be Active!".
The School Skills Challenge “Aim High” is a project organized by the Marcin Gortat MG13 Foundation together with the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. The idea of the action is to encourage students to take care of daily physical activity and physical fitness, as well as to enhance the position of physical education and sport in the hierarchy of values of the school environment. Through this project, the initiators want to promote healthy habits among children and show that regular activity will not only improve their physical fitness, but also facilitate the achievement of success in many areas of life.
The pupils of fifty primary schools from grades 4-6, aged 9-13, who qualified for the 5th edition of the School Skills Challenge will be able to use a specially prepared fitness track, the elements of which refer to sports disciplines most often practiced in PE lessons. The participant who will beat the track in their school the fastest will win the title of the champion. The ten champions with the best results in the country will receive a promotion to the Grand Finale of School Skills Challenge 2017 in Łódź, where they will compete for the main prize, which is a trip to the US to a NBA league game and a meeting with Marcin Gortat.
Along with the next edition of this event, the "Be Active!" competition organized by our company takes place. All participants of the School Skills Challenge will receive special diaries in which they will record their healthy habits, such as proper nutrition or daily gymnastics. The aim of our competition is to promote five principles of a young athlete and encourage the youngest to regularly practice sports.
The current edition of the School Skills Challenge will last from October to December this year. Schools interested in participating in this action may submit their application by 30/09/2017 via the form found on the website of the organizer.
We would like to encourage you to take part and support the students participating in the School Skills Challenge!
